Vatel Bahrain brought together members of its academic team for an induction programme ahead of the 2026–2027 academic year. The initiative formed part of the College’s preparations for the new term, ensuring that lecturers are ready to deliver a consistent and engaging learning experience from the outset.

Academic staff were briefed on the College’s priorities, internal policies, working procedures and arrangements for co-ordination across departments. The sessions established a shared understanding of the College’s approach to teaching and academic delivery throughout the year.

The programme also provided a forum for lecturers to exchange insights, discuss effective teaching practices and explore ways to encourage greater student engagement. Discussions highlighted the importance of connecting classroom learning with practical experience, a defining feature of Vatel’s educational approach and an essential part of preparing graduates for careers in hospitality and tourism.

Sheikh Khaled bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, General Director of Vatel Bahrain, said: “At Vatel Bahrain, a high-quality student experience depends on an academic team that is well prepared, fully supported and united by a clear approach to teaching. This induction programme establishes that shared direction, ensuring that our lecturers understand the College’s priorities for the year ahead and work effectively across departments. By combining academic rigour with practical, industry-focused learning, we provide students with the knowledge, skills and professional confidence they need to build successful careers in hospitality and tourism.”

Ms Fatema Ali, Director of Studies at Vatel Bahrain, commented: “The induction programme provides a structured foundation for translating our academic plans into effective practice. By clarifying responsibilities and establishing strong channels of co-ordination before classes begin, it enables our academic staff to work effectively from the outset. It also ensures that they have the support required to monitor student progress, respond to individual needs and uphold consistent academic standards across all courses.”

The programme reflects Vatel Bahrain’s continued commitment to developing its academic model, supporting its teaching team and maintaining a learning environment that keeps pace with the needs of the hospitality and tourism sector.
