Study hotel management at the Vatel School of Bahrain
The island country of Bahrain is at the centre of the Persian Gulf, the region’s financial hub and cultural heart. Known for its diversified cultural legacy, represented by Manama – the capital of Bahrain and its largest city – Bahrain has a population of just over 1.3 million people.
In the Kingdom of Bahrain, Vatel aims to encourage nationals to follow a career path within the hospitality and tourism industry, giving them the necessary tools to achieve success. This will also help building up the tourism industry of the Gulf region. The project is driven by Shaikh Khaled Bin Humood Al-Khalifa operating with the Patronage of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority.
Vatel in Bahrain will open its doors in October this year, and will train 25 students under its Bachelor’s degree. The school is currently under the process of signing a partnership agreement with internationally-known hotels where students will be able to do their practical application courses and work. This will allow students to quickly apprehend the hospitality industry, not only in depth but also in the most prestigious establishments.

During their practical application, our students will have the opportunity to face day-to-day situations with real customers in a professional environment. There is no better way to learn!
The practical application will take place in various departments within the luxury hotels and F&B establishments carefully selected by our Internship & Corporate Relations Manager.
Mr. Faisal Ashoor is an English Language Instructor at the Berlitz Language Centre in Bahrain. He has extensive experience in spoken and formal communication. He holds a Bachelor Degree in English Language and Literature and a Master Degree in Applied English Language Studies from the University of Bahrain.
Mrs. Anfal Fekir is the founder of Silver Tea Leaf Consultancy. She provides consultation and training regarding how to prepare and serve tea in hotels and restaurants. She has a certificate of Tea Specialist from the World Tea Academy, and also a Master of Tea Sommelier from the International Tea Education Institute (I.T.E.I.) based in Canada. She teaches the Tea course. In her lecture, students are trained to get familiar to different types and tastes of tea as well as how to serve it professionally.
Mrs. Claire CARON is Vatelien with a working expertise focused on the Events & Banquet field in Middle East. She worked as an Event Director in several five-star hotels such as Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi, Westin Abu Dhabi & Spa and Sofitel in Cairo. She is leading the Restaurant practice course and F&B course.
Mr. Abdulla Qetami is the Head of Public Relation Department at the Arabian Gulf University. His field of expertise is focused on Modern Art of Etiquette & International Protocol. He teaches the self image course. In this course, students are learning how to behave, non-verbal communication and body language in order to be ready to face the customers their internships in hotels and to promote the high standards of the hospitality industry.
Mrs. Ségolène CRETAUX is the founder of Café Chantilly in Bahrain. She is Vatelien that has sales managing experience; she worked in Sales department in several five-star hotels such as Grand Hyatt Dubai, Wyndham Hotel Shanghai and Pierre Hermé, Paris. She also holds a Master degree in Hospitality Business from the International Academy of Management in Paris. Ségolène teaches Hotel Environment course.
Chef Pierre CHAMBON is currently the Executive Pastry Chef at the prestigious Four Seasons in Bahrain. He previously worked at Guy Savoy Restaurants both in Doha and Paris. He also worked in London at Gordon Ramsay restaurant. Pierre teaches two subjects at Vatel, "Initiation to Cooking Practices" as well as "Hygiene & Safety".
Hélène Ripolles is an accredited French teacher at Alliance Française in Bahrain where she has been working since February 2016. She holds a Master degree in "Teaching French as a second language". Hélène is also very familiar with the hospitality industry since she has worked over 6 years in Front Office for 3 and 4 stars hotels.
Mrs. Linda Lebailly is a certificated nurse from Bourgoin-Jallieu Nursing & Training Institute, in France. Hospitality industry has a high demand requirement concerning health and physical appearance. based on her work experience in hospital nurseries and nutrition consultant, Linda teaches Nutrition courses.
