Hotels are interlinked with Vatel. They meet students during their placements, and also at conferences and workshops. They provide internships and ultimately they employ our graduates. Thanks to this frequent interaction, students are from the very first year in direct contact with industry professionals.

The practical application will take place in various departments within the luxury hotels and F&B establishments carefully selected by our Internship & Corporate Relations Manager.
I have 15 years experience in the hospitality and tourism industry, and have opened 4 properties in Singapore, Bahrain, Belize and Malaysia. I am currently working as the General Manager at a 5 star luxury boutique hotel in Bahrain. My career has taken me to Asia, Europe, Central America and the USA.
I graduated with First Class Honors in Bachelor of Arts in International Hotel and Tourism Management from KDU College, Malaysia, accredited by International Management Institute (IMI), Switzerland.
I am passionate about the development of people and in my spare time I can be found running, cycling, swimming and travelling to discover the world.
Mrs. Claire CARON is Vatelien with a working expertise focused on the Events & Banquet field in Middle East. She worked as an Event Director in several five-star hotels such as Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi, Westin Abu Dhabi & Spa and Sofitel in Cairo. She is leading the Restaurant practice course and F&B course.
My Name is Alia Ali. I have a BSc in Business Information Systems, 2004 and worked for 8 years in different sectors.
I started my teaching career in 2010 and have taught students of different ages and proficiency levels on how to use computers, Computer Fundamentals and Microsoft Office.
I love teaching and sharing my knowledge with others and making a difference to someone's life which goes far beyond attaining knowledge.
I inspire, support, mentor and get the chance to change student life which makes me proud.
I am happy to have joined the Vatel team and am so excited to meet the students and staff.
I have a worked in the hospitality industry for over 37 years holding operational plus learning and development positions during this time. After finishing school, I was able to study part time for a diploma in Hotel Management whilst working for the Savoy group in London.
After working in London, France and Switzerland in various operational and duty management roles I moved to Tasmania Australia and was employed as a teacher at the college of hospitality. I rose to the position of Head Teacher for Front of house operations and was able to study part time to complete my diploma of education to achieve this position.
I then took a new challenge to become the executive butler to the Queens representative of Australia, a very exciting and formal role attending to Royalty and leading dignitaries from the diplomatic corp.
I returned to the hotel industry where I completed 30 years working with the Starwood / Marriott group of hotels and spent the last 12 years in a learning and development role in Europe, Africa and the Middle East before retiring in September 2018. During my time with Starwood / Marriott I became the Butler Trainer for all St. Regis, Ritz Carlton and Bulgari Hotels and opened more than 26 hotels in various roles and management support. I have conducted training in more than 60 countries giving me a very multi-cultural incite to the development of people from many backgrounds. With this company I was also based for long periods of time in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Uganda, China and the UAE.

1- Providing training for human rights activists in workshops organized by Bahraini, Arab, UN and international organizations.
2- Contributing effectively to many conferences and seminars on human rights. On many occasions I provided papers for these events.
3- Engagement in UH-HR Mechanisms.
4- For sake of training on HR, I wrote two books 1- The UN Mechanisms on HR and Vision of HR
Elham Arebi is an Arabic and Spanish language instructor at Shaikh Ebrahim Center for Culture and Research (Spanish and Arabic languages learning program) and a licensed examiner for Dele exams, holding a Teaching Skills Development certificate from Instituto Cervantes and a Spanish-Arabic literature translation certificate from Escuela de Traductores de Toledo.
Elham currently teaches Arabic Language and Culture at Vatel College. Her field of expertise is focused on Languages; Arabic Spanish literature translation and designing conversation courses where Arabic Language students can practice both colloquial and classical Arabic.
Elham also holds a BSc in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Tripoli.
Jaffar Al Aradi born in 1967, in Bahrain is now a father of 3 kids. He pursued his schooling in Bahrain. Jaafar Al Aradi, graduated from Al Hidaya Secondary School in 1987. He pursed his higher education the same year when he travelled to India. He got his degree in English Literature from Wadia College, Pune University (1988-1991). Then he was enrolled in the Master’s degree program majoring in Applied Linguistics (1992-1994).
He is very energetic and is extremely passionate about his teaching profession. He has very pleasant personality which makes him easily approachable. He is involved in different social activities at the level of his village and he loves travelling particularly eco-tourism.
Jaafar Al Aradi, worked as Head of Communication & Language Division at Bahrain Training Institute (2006-2011). During his tenure he executed the activities of the department very professionally. He had to supervise and give guidance for about 30 English teachers from different nationalities and qualifications. As Head of Division, Jaafar Al Aradi, established & strengthen tie-ups with different local & international Agencies such Edexcel, Pearson and BSTD. He coordinated different programs with British Council and American Embassy in coordination With George Town University USA. He secured the agreement with American Embassy to run the Access program in BTI. His main priority was to develop and support his staff. With his goal-oriented training courses, he was able to get different courses and training program for his staff.
Jaffar Al Aradi, worked as Training Consultant with the corporate division at Bahrain Training Institute. As Training consultant, Jaafar initiated and supervised different programs provided by Bahrain Institute for both public and private sectors. Such courses focused on developing and enhancing the employability skills for both job seekers and employees.
Jaafar Al Aradi, worked as Senior Lecturer teaching both ESP & General English at different levels. He worked as instructor of English at the Hotel & Catering Training Centre which was affiliated with Ministry of Information (1995-1997).
Right now, Jaafar works as freelance trainer handling different courses for corporate sectors. He is involved in teaching Technical Writing for fresh engineer graduates which is part of Tamheed program sponsored by Tamkeen. He joined Vatel Hotel & Tourism Business School.
Mr. Julien Liscouet has been leading the Vatel school in Bahrain since September 2018. His education background includes a Master's degree in International Business Law and Master's degree in Geopolitics Strategy and Defence. In 2011, he joined the Education field with Vatel Group as compliance officer. In 2012, he was appointed Vatel Group's Director for International Affairs and Business Development. In this position he grew Vatel's school network from 22 schools up to 50 schools worldwide.
Juliane is an ethusiastic French teacher who holds a Master’s degree II in FLE (French as a foreign language pedagogy).
Juliane has put her love of the French language and passion of education to good use teaching French for more than 7 years here in Bahrain. Her skills and experience allows her to manage diverse groups of students from beginners to advanced.
Other than just learning the language, discovering a new culture is particularly important, and they go hand-in-hand together.
Oraib Shihab is a Jordanian mother of two children, who has been living in Bahrain since 2007. Starting her hospitality career in Jordan back in 2002 as a Kitchen Clerk at the Amman Marriott Hotel, she moved up to become the Director of Revenue Management at The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain, Hotel & Spa in 2013. With a passion for numbers and analysis, Oraib trained and lead her team members by focusing on understanding the basic fundamentals of Hotel Management to establish a solid base on which to make sound decisions upon. This is what Oraib continues to deliver to students at Vatel College.
Rami Mohammad Abu Wadi is an Assistant Professor of Accounting and Economics. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Jordan University and a Master’s in Accounting from Amman Arab University for Graduate studies. In 2015 he obtained his PhD in Business Economics from Jordan University. He has wide ranging experience in academic teaching including research, and training in Accounting and Economics for the last 12 years in Jordan and Bahrain. He conducts research in the areas of Financial Economics, Industrial Economics, Islamic Accounting and Economic Development. He has published many articles in international scientific Journals. He is an official reviewer in many international scientific journals.
I am Rudric Neba from Cameroon. I teach French as a Second Language and this is my 8th year of teaching. I studied French Language at undergraduate level and proceeded to earn a Master’s in Bilingual Letters. I have enjoyed my journey so far, and the results have been remarkable, as many of my students choose France for their next vacation. I enjoy traveling, playing video games and above all looking for solutions to the common problems we face in our day-to-day life. I am an entrepreneur, though still to make it through my many projects.
